The TSUYU brand is inspired by Japanese traditions, Asian culture, and the philosophy of nagori. Nagori is a Japanese concept symbolizing a fleeting moment—that elusive sensation of something that is already slipping away but continues to live on within us through memories, feelings, and, of course, scents. We create original, complex fragrances that, like this moment, gradually unfold and leave a special imprint on the soul and in our memories.

The name TSUYU (TSUYU) is associated with the rainy season in Japan, which begins in early summer and is called 梅雨 (TSUYU), which literally translates to “plum rain.” This season symbolizes a time when rain coincides with the ripening of plums, creating a unique atmosphere filled with freshness and depth. We chose this name to reflect our admiration for the tenderness and coolness characteristic of this time of year.

TSUYU fragrances are crafted in the Japanese aesthetic—with a soft, delicate sillage. The compositions feature natural essential oils, so each fragrance unfolds uniquely on the skin.
We offer a slightly different way to experience perfume—through notes, imagery, and an atmosphere inspired by Asian culture. This intuitive approach allows you to choose fragrances based on your mood, imagination, and sensations—and to discover a special pleasure in the very process of choosing.

Currently, TSUYU fragrances are available exclusively online. This is due both to our concept of intuitive selection—through the notes, description, and atmosphere of each composition—and to the fact that it is important for us to control how the brand is presented and perceived.
Partner stores are not always able to provide the level of aesthetics and atmosphere that we want to convey. Therefore, in the future, we plan to open our own brand spaces where we can present the collection exactly as intended.

All of our fragrances and products are developed under the TSUYU brand and are not available anywhere else. We work with talented Japanese, Korean, and Russian perfumers who create unique compositions to convey unusual nuances and moods. The concepts behind each fragrance are centered around Japanese nature, culture, and mythology.

The scent of perfumed mists lasts on the skin for 2 to 4 hours, depending on your skin type and environmental conditions. We recommend reapplying the mists throughout the day for a longer-lasting scent—especially since it’s such a pleasant little ritual!

Yes, our perfumed mists are formulated to suit different skin types. However, if you have an allergy or sensitivity to any ingredient, we recommend testing the product on a small area of skin.

We recommend burning the candle for no more than 3–4 hours at a time. The candle’s total burn time is 30 to 50 hours. Make sure the candle is placed on a flat surface, away from flammable materials. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

We place a high priority on the safety of our products and thoroughly test them before they go on sale. All of our fragranced products undergo rigorous quality control testing in the laboratory and meet international standards.

Our products are not tested on animals. We adhere to ethical standards and support the cruelty-free philosophy, which means that our fragrances and candles do not harm kittens, bunnies, or any other furry friends.

We often get used to the scents we wear and stop noticing them. This is perfectly normal and has nothing to do with how long the scent lasts. The scent is still there, even if you can’t smell it. It may be more noticeable to those around you than to you.

To make the fragrance last longer, apply perfumed mists to damp skin immediately after showering. Your skin will hold the scent better if it’s moisturized. Also, apply the fragrance to your pulse points (neck, wrists, behind the ears), where body temperature is higher, which helps the scent unfold. Avoid rubbing your wrists together after application, so as not to break down the fragrance molecules.

For maximum longevity, apply the fragrance to areas of the body where blood circulates (wrists, neck, and inner elbows). These areas are warmer, which helps the fragrance unfold. You can also spray the perfume on your clothes (avoid delicate fabrics) or into the air and walk through the scent cloud for a light, even application.
